Determining where we are going by evaluating where we have been…

The Spin Doctor is “Out”

The only thing more enjoyable than watching the Republican wins in New Jersey and Virginia last night was the never ending parade of talking heads that the networks touted out,  who all thought they had something to add to the festivities.

Although they failed to demonstrate the outright love and affection that was so prevalent in the last election, the left wing media pundits still put forth a brave face while watching the Democratic candidates walk the plank for Obama.

Another fun fact, if you ever had any misconceptions that CBS’s Bob Schieffer was anything more that a shill for the White House seeing him last night insisting that the two contests were about local issues and stating that “I don’t think they had much to do with anything but New Jersey and Virginia” should have removed all doubt.

Of course the Left was trying to spin the results  way before the election was even held  as the polls continued to show their candidates losing ground.

Yet another fun fact:  One thing you have to say about Juan Williams – love him or hate him is that he had the good graces to not attempt to avoid the relationship between the Governor’s races and Obama.  And Juan is an ADMITTED LIBERAL Mr. Schieffer.  Actually, since calling out  Warren Ballantine on The Factor for telling him to “Get back on the porch” Juan has been growing on me.

What isn’t going to be said about New York is the White House politicking and deal making that went on behind the scenes.  When Dede Scozzafava threw her support to her Democratic challenger (rather than the conservative Hoffman) it wasn’t just an in your face gesture to the Republican party, it was part of the deal with The President, who reportedly slept through the elections – or was watching basketball, or something that had nothing to do with winning the war or fixing the economy, but hey the guy needs a break.  I am honestly guessing that he spent the evening watching the new HBO special about him.

Of course you had to know the ‘morning after’ would find Nancy “Plastic Smile” Pelosi and David “Astro Turf” Axelrod spinning like little gryoscopes in a bizarre attempt to paint Tuesday as a huge Democratic victory.  Nancy even went so far as to call it a “victory for healthcare”

Another bizarre position was held by Daniel Steele who did well at reinforcing the left’s talking points about the republican civil war by stating that ““If you don’t live in the district, you don’t vote there, your opinion doesn’t matter very much,” Steele said while assessing the intra-party strife that resulted in a Democratic pick up of a seat held by Republicans since the Civil War.”  Here is why I totally disagree with you Daniel, first of all let’s look at two things, first of all Barrack Obama – the Greatest President ever makes 5 or 6 appearances for the incumbant New Jersey govenor and his polls DON’T MOVE A POINT?   Whereas Sarah Palin endores this guy Hoffman (who no one ever heard of 30 days ago) to combat the RINO that the Republican’s were running as “Miss – Look she has an R after her name” and he loses by a couple of points?  C’mon Daniel, what are you missing?
